Raleigh, NC — April 28, 2020 — The application by the Center for Advanced Driving and Research Foundation (CADR) to become a 501(c)(3) charitable organization has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service.

The IRS letter reads, “We’re pleased to tell you we determined you’re exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3). Donors can deduct contributions they make to you under IRC Section 170. You’re also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106 or 2522.”

“This is a great milestone for our new organization.” says Dan Wagner, CADR President. He continues, “With our mission to end driving as the number one killer of teens, having this charity designation will be a great help in seeking donations from people and businesses.” CADR will be actively campaigning for funds through crowdfunding and direct communication to our network of stakeholders.
